Healing begins when we feel safe enough to tell the truth of who we are—beyond roles, expectations, and the versions of ourselves we’ve performed just to belong.
I am a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Psychotherapist with 18 years of experience in mental health care. But beyond credentials, my work is shaped by my own lived experience.
Growing up within the Sikh community and immigrating to Canada at a young age, I learned what it means to live between worlds—honoring family traditions while quietly finding the courage to listen to my own inner voice. These early lessons in identity, belonging, and resilience continue to guide the work I do today.
For nearly two decades, I have sat with people in their hardest, most vulnerable moments. I’ve witnessed the invisible weight so many carry—expectations, grief, past wounds that never had the space to heal.
I believe that behind every struggle, there is always a story. And within every story, there is a longing to be met with understanding, compassion, and care.
At the heart of my work is the belief that you are not broken. You are becoming.
And I am here to walk alongside you as you remember the parts of yourself that may have been left behind.
In Sikh tradition, "Kaur" means sovereign—a name gifted to remind every woman of her inherent strength, dignity, and freedom.
For me, Kaur is more than heritage. It’s the heart of this work.
A space where you are seen beyond your struggles.
Where healing is not about becoming someone new, but returning to the truth of who you’ve always been.
Therapy, to me, is not about fixing problems—it’s about creating a space where your full self is welcome.
Many of the people I work with are balancing:
In our work together, we slow down.
Rather than rushing toward solutions, we become curious.
We listen to the parts of you that have been working so hard to keep you going. We tend to the pain, patterns, and protective strategies that once kept you safe but may now be holding you back.
My approach is grounded in compassionate presence.
I believe you already hold deep wisdom within you. Sometimes, it’s just been buried beneath years of surviving, coping, and carrying the weight of expectations. Together, we create space for that wisdom to rise.
Space to understand yourself more fully.
Space to soften the inner critic.
Space to reconnect with your own sense of worth, belonging, and peace.
And always, we work in a way that honors your culture, your values, and the pace that feels right for you.
This is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about coming home to yourself.
For those who value professional qualifications alongside a human approach:
In this space, I honor the stories you carry.
The ones passed down through generations.
The ones written in silence.
The ones that taught you how to survive but never showed you how to rest.
Kaur Reflections is where you finally pause.
To look inward. To rediscover who you are beneath the roles you’ve played and the strength you’ve had to wear like armor.
Because healing isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about returning to the truth of who you’ve always been.
Whole. Worthy. Free.
